Pinterest names former Amazon executive James Dibbo as chief financial officer

US visual search and social commerce platform Pinterest has appointed James Dibbo as chief financial officer (CFO), effective October 26, 2026. Dibbo will report directly to chief executive officer (CEO) Bill Ready and will oversee the company's global finance organization, spanning corporate development, investor relations, tax, treasury and workplace operations.

Dibbo joins the business from US e-commerce giant Amazon, where he held the position of vice president and CFO for global entertainment, advertising and corporate development. During a ten-year tenure at Amazon, Dibbo managed financial operations across division portfolios including Amazon Ads, Prime Video and Twitch, alongside prior leadership roles as CFO of worldwide consumer and CFO of North America consumer.

Prior to his decade at Amazon, Dibbo served as CFO of restaurant chain P.F. Chang's, following senior finance leadership positions at UK retailer Tesco and telecoms group BT Group. He began his career at professional services firm PwC in London, holds a bachelor of science in economics from Cardiff University and is a chartered accountant.

“James is an exceptional finance leader with the operating rigor, strategic range and growth mindset that will greatly benefit Pinterest in our next chapter,” said Ready. “As we continue to make Pinterest more actionable for our users and more valuable for advertisers, James will be an outstanding partner to our leadership team and board.”

Dibbo succeeds Julia Brau Donnelly, who steps down as CFO on October 26, 2026. Donnelly will remain in an advisory capacity through October 30, 2026 to facilitate an orderly transition.
