Catherine So joins Capri Holdings as chief legal and sustainability officer

Global fashion luxury group Capri Holdings has appointed Catherine So as chief legal and sustainability officer, effective October 19, 2026. So will report directly to John D. Idol, chairman and chief executive officer of Capri Holdings.

So joins Capri Holdings from US jewellery brand Tiffany & Co., where she most recently served as senior vice president and general counsel. In that role, she oversaw legal, compliance, intellectual property, litigation, governance and brand protection functions across the global business.

Strategic leadership experience

Since joining Tiffany & Co. in 2015, So served in several leadership roles, including vice president, associate general counsel as well as vice president and chief compliance officer, before being named general counsel in 2021.

Prior to her tenure at Tiffany & Co., she held senior legal positions at US financial institution Bank of America Merrill Lynch and served as an assistant US attorney in the Eastern District of New York. So began her legal career in private practice with law firm Debevoise & Plimpton.
