Burberry appoints former Superdry tech lead Dafydd Moore as VP of business technology
British luxury fashion house Burberry has appointed former Superdry director of global technology Dafydd Moore as its vice president of business technology.
Moore announced his new appointment on social media, expressing enthusiasm for the new role following his departure from British clothing retailer Superdry. "After a fantastic chapter at Superdry, I’m excited to share that today I’m starting a new role at Burberry! A huge thank you to everyone at Superdry for the support, collaboration and experiences over the last couple of years. I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve worked with and everything we achieved together turning that business around. Now looking forward to the next chapter and getting started at Burberry," Moore said in a LinkedIn post.
During his tenure at Superdry, Moore led a tech transformation, driving the migration of infrastructure, applications and storage to Google Cloud. He was also responsible for executing the business’s enterprise artificial intelligence strategy and overseeing its international technology portfolio across the UK, Europe and the Americas.
Prior to his time at Superdry, Moore served as group director for IT strategy and architecture at British retailer Halfords from August 2022 to June 2024. His earlier career includes five years at technology company Dyson, where he held several senior roles including global head of IT strategy, architecture and innovation, as well as over 11 years at supermarket chain Waitrose, where he initially began his career as a department manager before transitioning into information technology functions.
The appointment comes as Burberry continues to refine its technological infrastructure and digital strategy under its strategic framework, Burberry Forward, aimed at enhancing operational discipline and digital customer experiences across channels.
