Italian fashion label Miu Miu, part of Prada Group, has teamed up with American denim brand Wrangler for the newest edition of its 'Miu Miu Upcycled' project. The collaboration was presented on October 4, 2026, during the label's spring/summer 2027 show in Paris.

For this edition, Miu Miu has reworked a Wrangler garment in its own signature fabrics and design codes. According to the brand, the result is a piece that started out as a functional item and has been shaped by time and wear. The full Wrangler x Miu Miu collection is set to become available in early 2027.

Among the pieces shown on the runway was Wrangler's 'Cowboy Cut' jean, a slim-leg style that Miu Miu reinterpreted with hand-laced, criss-cross cords across the front. The lacing detail returned throughout the SS27 show.

Vintage pieces, deconstructed and rebuilt

As with every edition of 'Miu Miu Upcycled', the garments are sourced through vintage specialists around the world. This time, Wrangler took part in that sourcing process itself. Miu Miu then deconstructs and reconstructs each piece, turning it into a new garment.

The label launched the project in 2020 as part of its commitment to circular design and its interest in vintage fashion. Through the initiative, garments that have already been worn are given a second life.

Wrangler, owned by US apparel company Kontoor Brands, dates back to 1947. Since then, the denim brand's best-known designs have moved beyond their functional origins and have been adopted and reinterpreted in the culture of the American West, as well as in music, film and fashion.
