Hoka and Marni continue collaboration with 'Clifton Marni'
Running shoe brand Hoka, part of US company Deckers Brands, and Italian fashion house Marni are releasing their second joint shoe, the 'Clifton Marni'. The model is a new interpretation of Hoka's 'Clifton 11' running shoe and will launch on November 12 via Marni's e-commerce platform and brick and mortar stores worldwide. This will be followed on November 13 by the launch via Hoka and selected international retailers.
The collaboration builds on the brands' first joint release in 2025. The new shoe combines the comfort and smooth stride of Hoka's everyday running shoe with Marni's design language, giving functional components a prominent role in the design.
"Building on the success of our first release, we wanted to continue the strong momentum with Marni and collaborate on our iconic Clifton line," says Thomas Cykana, senior director global collaborations and partnerships at Hoka. "We love Marni's playful and quirky position within the contemporary luxury landscape and appreciate the refined way in which Meryll has further developed the brand, whilst retaining its most recognisable features."
Cykana is referring to Meryll Rogge, creative director at Marni.
Technical base with Marni details
The base of the shoe consists of an engineered mesh upper and a compression-moulded EVA foam midsole. These are complemented by Hoka's MetaRocker technology and the rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame. A custom checked insole, metal lace hardware, reflective accents and a 3D silicone print form the details of the collaboration.
The shoe comes with two extra sets of laces for customisation. The 'Clifton Marni' is available in orange, white and black.
The accompanying campaign, 'Every Day Is a Marathon', revolves around movement in everyday life, from the early morning to the office, in creative studios and on the street. According to the brands, the campaign connects Hoka's focus on comfort, performance and movement with Marni's creative take on personal style.
