Craftsvilla looks at acquiring new markets in New Zealand, Australia and UAE

Homegrown ethnic wear brand Craftsvilla has expanded its footprints to overseas markets. Its services will now cover the Middle East, New Zealand and Australia. The company is aiming to reach a revenue of Rs 100 crores in 2016-17.

The reason behind this expansion is that Indians in these regions are looking at ethnic, ‘homely’ stuff and are ordering online. Demand has come in from remote areas like Polynesian islands too, in addition to Australian and Middle East. Many Indians in Australia demand the spiritual vessel, urli, besides other home products.

Manoj Gupta, founder, Craftsvilla informs that a list of curated products, will be available for the overseas market. In the UAE, the company expects that there will be a good demand for lehengas, salwars etc while in New Zealand, furnishing and home products can be expected to sell well.

Craftsvilla is the largest marketplace for Indian products. It was started in 2011 by Manoj and Monika Gupta.
