Frasers Group consolidates luxury portfolio scross UK and US markets

UK retail conglomerate Frasers Group has announced the launch of Frasers Group Luxury, a dedicated luxury ecosystem spanning the UK and US markets. The initiative marks the next phase of the group’s luxury strategy, integrating its high-end retail businesses, digital capabilities, and portfolio investments into a unified platform aimed at international expansion.

The luxury division currently generates over one billion pounds in revenue and encompasses a retail network of more than 100 physical stores. The ecosystem brings together three major retail banners: UK multi-brand retailer Flannels, UK department store Harvey Nichols, and US multi-brand boutique The Webster.

In addition to its retail concepts, the portfolio includes strategic equity investments and brand partnerships across the luxury landscape, including stakes in Mulberry, Burberry, German fashion brand Hugo Boss, and UK label Hulcan’s Mile.

“Luxury has been a core pillar of Frasers Group for more than a decade, starting with Flannels and growing into a profitable one billion-plus pound luxury ecosystem in just 10 years,” said Frasers Group chief executive officer Michael Murray. “With over 100 stores across the UK and US, we have built the expertise, scale, and brand relationships to support our next phase of growth. Our ambition is clear: to continue scaling Frasers Group Luxury globally through organic expansion, acquisitions, and strategic investments.”

Portfolio integration across UK and US markets

The creation of Frasers Group Luxury consolidates several retail acquisitions executed over recent years. Flannels, acquired by Frasers Group in 2017, serves as the group’s primary vehicle for contemporary luxury in the UK, operating a footprint of over 80 stores. The retailer has expanded its commercial reach through specialized concepts, including Flannels Beauty and its experiential venue Flannels X.

Burberry chief executive officer Joshua Schulman commented: “We value Flannels as a long-standing wholesale partner. Their teams have a deep understanding of their customers, and their store network helps us reach Burberry customers across the UK, particularly in areas where we do not have directly operated stores. I have been especially impressed with their flagships in Leeds and Liverpool which provide an impressive curation of luxury brands in engaging environments. They bring the energy of a fashion capital to key regional cities, giving more customers the opportunity to buy a Burberry trench coat in their home town.”

The Webster entered the group in 2025, providing an established operational footprint in the US luxury market. One year following the acquisition, Frasers Group is backing store renovations across The Webster’s retail estate, including its location in Bal Harbour, Florida, set to reopen in November 2026 as part of the Bal Harbour Shops West expansion. Plans are also underway to renovate its flagship store on Collins Avenue in South Beach, Miami, alongside expanding digital operations and brand partnerships, such as its in-store studio with French hair salon David Mallett.

The addition of historic luxury department store chain Harvey Nichols in 2026 further expanded the UK footprint. Operating flagship locations across London, Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and Dublin, alongside international franchised stores in Asia and the Middle East, Harvey Nichols brings nearly 200 years of heritage to the portfolio.

“Frasers Group provides Harvey Nichols with the expertise, support, and pace to build on our heritage and shape our next chapter,” noted Harvey Nichols CEO Julia Goddard. “Its understanding of luxury, combined with a strong operational and commercial approach, gives us the confidence to invest, evolve and build for the long term.”

French luxury brand Christian Louboutin CEO Alexis Mourot commented: “We have built a strong partnership with Frasers Group over the years, based on trust, open dialogue and a shared ambition to grow our business together. Harvey Nichols holds a special place in Christian Louboutin’s history, as it was where we opened our very first shop-in-shop worldwide in 2007. We therefore look forward to this new chapter and to continuing to grow our partnership together.”

The group officially presented the luxury division to brand partners, designers, and industry stakeholders during Paris Fashion Week.
